Santa Cruz

The original plans for Santa Cruz was for Kelli and I to run the Santa Cruz marathon together on Sunday 4/11, but I got sick and wound up with a major sinus infection. Not wanting the kids to miss out on the beach and Boardwalk fun, we decided to go for the day. Sydney had been waiting to go for weeks, she loves the beach. We started off with playing on the beach for a little while. The wind got so bad we had to move on to the rides and games on the Boardwalk. We grabbed a bite to eat then Tyler, Kalin and Sydney wanted to play Pirate Pee-Wee golf. They played while Hailey played games. Hailey loves this pirate looking guy which was supposed to tell a fortune but we put our $1 in and never got anything in return, oh well, Hailey still thought it was cool. Hailey loved to ride this little boat, which was a game. She also had fun watching all the different games make noises and loved to play skee ball. Sydney, Tyler and Kalin rode the roller coaster and rode several other rides as well. We enjoyed talking a walk on the wharf. We ate dinner on the wharf, shopped and also made our way to the famous Marini's Candy store where we stocked up on salt water taffy, Swedish fish, and Darin's famous turtles. We had a blast...with my head pounding and all!!
