Sydney's Soccer

This year Sydney was interested in playing on a soccer team. Although Tracy didn't have a soccer team for her age group, they do have a class with the Tracy Park and Recreation department, Fundamentals of Soccer. We enrolled Sydney into the class and weren't sure if she'd like it or not. Well she had her 1st practice yesterday and she LOVES it!! She only goes once a week on Tuesdays. She wishes it was everyday!! The coach is great and you can tell he enjoys being with the kids, which is huge, especially for 5 year olds. Sydney looks forward to playing the pirate game with her team mates and trying to keep the ball away from them. They play all kinds of different games throughout practice, it is great fun for Sydney.

Happy 4th Birthday Dillon!

We helped Dillon celebrate his 4th Birthday by joining him at Cafe Art in Dublin. This place is really neat. It is a pottery place where the kids can pick from numerous amounts of different sculptures, plates, etc. to paint. Sydney decided she wanted to paint a fairy like Tinkerbell. Hailey like the dolphin, although was totally uninterested in painting it. Once everyone painted their sculptures, we ate snacks, sang Happy Birthday to Dillon and ate cake. Once we finished up at Cafe Art, we carried the party over to Auntie Kim, Uncle Scott, Dillon and Ethan's house for some lunch and to watch Dillon open his gifts. It was a lot of fun! Happy 4th Birthday Dillon! Thanks for sharing you day with us!

Labor Day

Yup, yet another weekend at the lake. Unfortunately this weekend was officially the last weekend on the summer at the lake. We are so bummed. We FINALLY had a year of going up to the lake like we used to when I was young. Darin isn't working on the weekends anymore trying to build us a house, so it was nice to have him back on the weekends this year. We hung out for the weekend, such a bonus to have an extra day! We had a picnic in the boat on Saturday and Sunday, as we usually do. On Monday we went out in the boat early and the "beach" was finally empty for us to park and let the girls out to play. The lake was awkwardly empty over the weekend, which is odd for a holiday weekend. I am thinking it was because the kids started school, but who knows. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend with the kids and Uncle Jeffe' and Robyn.
