Spring???

Darin , the girls and I were all outside in the back yard enjoying the sun. It was such a wonderful break from all the rain. Darin and I were doing yard work while Hailey and Sydney were playing with chalk and the pool toys. Sydney got "hot" so she decided to get her swim suit on. I told the girls it was way too cold in the pool to go swimming. After I had told them that, Hailey decided it was time to not only play in the water table but sit in it. Sydney decided it was fun to just pour water on her. You can't help but laugh! What can I say, my girls love the water!

Sacramento Autorama

This year I passed on going to the Sacramento Autorama with Darin, although Sydney was all excited about going. Sydney loves to go to the hot rod shows. She has gotten accustomed to going and her new passion is picking out the hot rods she likes and posing in front of them. She is Darin's new BFF and partner in crime at the car shows. She is REALLY super excited about going to the hot rod show in P-Town in just a month!

Heart Attacked

On Saturday morning I woke up and walked to the kitchen, half asleep although while on my way to the kitchen I looked out our front door to notice hearts on our lawn. I know I didn't decorate the lawn with the hearts, I thought I was going crazy. I hadn't had much sleep during the week, as Hailey was having a hard time transitioning into her "big girl bed." I put my slippers on and looked outside, yup, heart everywhere on our lawn with a larger heart that said Happy Valentine's Day. There was a note that stated "You've been heart attacked by someone who loves you!" Darin said he saw them the night before but thought I had put them on my lawn. So I called my sister-in-law Kelli, sure enough she had them sent by the girl scouts. What a super surprise! So much fun!! The picture isn't that great, but you can kind-of see the hearts~

Valentine's Day at Sydney's School

I try to help in Sydney's class as often as I can and this celebration was no different. I helped at one of the stations in her class for her Valentine's Day celebration in class. They did so many fun things. They started off by passing out all their Valentine's with the help of mrs. Esteves, which made the process so much faster and easier. Then they all went to stations, about 4 at each station. They had a "red hot" race with a spoon, candy necklaces (the ones you make with saran warp, fun!), wood hearts they decorated with jewels and their pictures, guess how much candy is in the jar, and last but not least the station I was at, the lollipop flowers. It was fun to see all the children's different projects and see how much they enjoyed them. After all the stations were complete they were able to enjoy a valentine treat, a cupcake and cookie. I get such a kick out of Sydney's class, the things that come out of the children's mouths, it is hilarious! I swear teachers should write a book on the things children say in class! I would buy it!! LOL! It was a fun, fun day with Sydney and her class.
