Preparing for Easter

Whats Easter without dying eggs? We all got together at Auntie Kristy's house to dye Easter Eggs. Always an event Sydney looks forward to. She asks me for weeks when she gets to dye eggs, well the day finally came. A little lunch and a cookie as a special afternoon treat...the kids were ready! They had so much fun, especially Sydney and Ashlee. They are at such a fun age! Brendan thoroughly enjoyed dying his hands in the green dye while Dillon liked the blue dye. Hailey just liked to hang out and watch. Ethan was happily asleep and held by many but like Laura's (Wowa) arms best. It was a fun day!

Easter Photos

I took the girls to try to get Easter Photos done. We were actually successful! Thank the good lord for Sharon at JC Penny portraits, she is amazing. My kids can be impossible and she has a special way of getting them to come around. Although Hailey wouldn't let go of Elmo, we still got some cute pictures! Happy Spring!!

Welcome Ethan Scott!!

Ethan Scott March 24, 2009 7 Lbs 21 inches
We had a new arrival in the family, Ethan Scott. We all welcomed him with open arms. He is so tiny. It is funny how you forget how tiny newborns are. Kim went into labor, which she was originally scheduled for a C-section on the 24th, but had to go in much earlier on the 24th instead of the afternoon. Kim recovered well, baby is well and Dillon isn't so sure about his new baby brother just yet. Scott is sleep deprived, but doing well too! We are so excited to have a new baby in the family. Congrats Kim, Scott and Dillon!!

Happy Birthday Tyler...Big 8!

Tyler's Big 8th birthday party took place at Party Hardy in Tracy, a jumping house place. We took Ashlee with us as an added bonus, knowing she would have a blast...thanks Kelli for letting us take her. Sydney, Ashlee and Hailey all enjoyed jump their hearts out in the jumping house, going down the slides and running in the rock n roll record. We enjoyed watching Tyler open his many gifts. We sang "Happy Birthday" of course and ate cupcakes. It was a fun party. Once the party was over, Darin was gone to Mexico for the weekend, so Sydney, Ashlee, Kalin, Hailey and I had a girls only sleep over. The girls had a blast playing house and doggie (yup, doggie, they love to pretend that they are dogs). They even stayed up into the wee hours, well for me it was! It was a blast!

Ashlee's 5th & Brenden's 2nd Birthday

Happy 5th Birthday Ashlee & Happy 2nd Birthday Brendan!!

We enjoyed going to the Family Club and celebrating Ashlee and Brenden's birthdays. The kids jumped their hearts out in the jumping house, playing in the sand, eating and of course cupcakes! Ashlee was excited to open all her gifts and so was brother, especially when he opened his power tools! Brenden LOVES tools...and tractors! Ashlee loved all the different swim suits she got...she loves swim suits. I don't think I have ever seen her in the same swim suit!! LOL! It was a fun, fun day. Sydney and Hailey were wiped out! They were in bed early, that is for sure!!

Sydney's "Yellow Submarine" School Performance

Sydney's Pre-School class did a small performance on the "Yellow Submarine," which was the closing of their "Things that Go" class web. Her class voted on their favorite thing that "goes" and the submarine was the class favorite. So, appropriately the class sang "Yellow Submarine" and "Puff the Magic Dragon" with the yellow submarines they created in class. It was so cute to see all the little ones singing while Mr. Rick and Miss. Susie played the guitar.

Love Day!

Nothing better than spending Valentine's Day at the Lake! We worked and played, it was fun! The girls and I went to the park early in the day, it was actually nice, not too cold. We were able to play without our coats, which was nice. Sydney and I made sand castles and Hailey destroyed them , which she thought was hilarious! We swung on the swings, Sydney thoroughly enjoyed pushing her little sister on the swing. She is such a big helper and such a sweet big sister. Then once Daddy finished taking off the wall paper on the stairway, he took the girls fishing. Sydney loves to fish, she can actually cast really good, she must take after her Daddy. Hailey wasn't so good with casting, at least not yet, she just thought she was so cool to have her own fishing pole! It was a great weekend.
