Fun'd Run at Monticello Elementary

Sydney did an excellent job fundraising for the Fun'd Run event to help raise money for her classroom. Sydney did countless number if laps with her friends in her class. She did skip, jump, run, prance, for Auntie Missy, Auntie Kelli, Jill, and Meagan. Not an entire lap, but she did start laps doing so! Hailey and I brought our pom poms to cheer her on, although Hailey was so much more interested in playing in the circle on the playground! So much fun. Thank you to all the people who donated, Sydney was in the top 5 in the entire school for the amount she raised for Mrs. Esteves (it's pronounces E-then Steve, plural s for those who ask me). The nice thing is that the money will go directly to Mrs. Esteves and not into a general school fund. Sydney won a ton of small prized, t-shirt, water bottle that kind of stuff, plus she gets to have lunch from a restaurant with the principal, Mrs. Adair. Way to go Sydney and thanks again for donations!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Hailey!!!

Goodness, Hailey is 3! I can't believe it! She is just as sweet as can be, a little lovey, snuggle bug. She is just an amazing little girl who loves her Nemo and loves to play with her Ariel play set, Minnie, Mickey and friends as well. Actually she is in to anything that fits in her hands and all things that swim in water! For her actual birthday we invited everyone over to our house for some dinner and cupcakes. We had a quick dinner, cupcakes, sang "Happy Birthday," then she opened gifts from Sydney, Auntie Kelli, Uncle Scott, Tyler, Kalin, Grandma and Grandpa. She got her gift from Nana and Papa early in the day while Nana was watching her. If you ask her how old she is, she would say she is 10! Papa asked her how old she was and she said "10!, no 4!" We all had a good laugh! I know I say this all the time but time is just flying by! She is really starting to talk and it is so much fun. Although potty training is pretty much non-existent at this point. Just like when she learned to walk, she is a tad bit lazy (she didn't walk until she was 17 months!). She totally knows when she has to go and she will tell you only to pee in her diaper or even take her diaper off and not go on the potty! Fun times. Happy Birthday to our little angel, Hailey! We love you to pieces, Daddy, Sydney and I wish you a fun-filled birthday!

Santa Cruz

The original plans for Santa Cruz was for Kelli and I to run the Santa Cruz marathon together on Sunday 4/11, but I got sick and wound up with a major sinus infection. Not wanting the kids to miss out on the beach and Boardwalk fun, we decided to go for the day. Sydney had been waiting to go for weeks, she loves the beach. We started off with playing on the beach for a little while. The wind got so bad we had to move on to the rides and games on the Boardwalk. We grabbed a bite to eat then Tyler, Kalin and Sydney wanted to play Pirate Pee-Wee golf. They played while Hailey played games. Hailey loves this pirate looking guy which was supposed to tell a fortune but we put our $1 in and never got anything in return, oh well, Hailey still thought it was cool. Hailey loved to ride this little boat, which was a game. She also had fun watching all the different games make noises and loved to play skee ball. Sydney, Tyler and Kalin rode the roller coaster and rode several other rides as well. We enjoyed talking a walk on the wharf. We ate dinner on the wharf, shopped and also made our way to the famous Marini's Candy store where we stocked up on salt water taffy, Swedish fish, and Darin's famous turtles. We had a blast...with my head pounding and all!!

Easter Morning/Day

Easter morning we celebrate with our immediate family. Sydney and Hailey woke up to a surprise from the Easter bunny. The carrots were gone and a trail of jellybeans lead them to their gifts on the fireplace. The girls loved every treat left by the Easter bunny, although Sydney was upset her Basket was small this year...even though she got 10x's more than she normally gets. Next year I think the Easter bunny is going to get her a HUGE basket with a bag of jelly beans in it! LOL! You know, total kids mentality, small basket=little surprises, they don't understand. Sydney got a barbie and a bunch of other fun things. Hailey got a Nemo bubble machine and lots of Nemo fruit snacks. We then got ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house in Pleasanton. Sydney and Hailey dressed in their fancy Easter dresses and look adorable! We met Uncle Scott, Auntie Kelli, Tyler, Kalin, Auntie Missy, Uncle Dennis, Danny, Ashlee and Madix there. The sun came out for a short while, an hour or 2. Just about when we were ready to have the Easter egg hunt, the rain came down. So, we resorted to have the hunt inside. The kids had so much fun trying to locate all their eggs. The hunt is a little different at Grandma and Grandpa's, each kids has a different color egg, which I think is brilliant, and they all had 16 eggs. It was a lot of fun. Long day but thoroughly enjoyed family. lots of good food, dessert and fun!! Thank you Lord for this blessed day!

Dillon & Brendan

This year we celebrated Easter with the Price side of the family (my side of the family) at the Family Club in Benecia. We always celebrate Easter the Saturday prior to Easter so we are able to celebrate with everyone. The weather was surprisingly cold and windy with a few sprinkles of rain here and there. It was actually the perfect day to fly a kite, once again which we did. We had an Easter egg hunt, which Ethan enjoyed because he figured out how to open the fake eggs, chew on the candy packages enough to soften them, especially the M & M's. YUM! Ashlee, Sydney, Dillon, and Brenden all ran around trying to fill their baskets first. Hailey like to pick up each egg, have a piece of the candy inside and then she would move on to the next one...she was not happen when the eggs were all found! Yup, total 2 year old tantrum!! She is almost 3 and I SWEAR 3 is worse than 3..so hold on for the ride, I suppose. IT was a fun day. We had a dinner which was delicious of course along with the deserts, my favorite! I would have passed up on dinner if I knew there were so many desserts! It was a fun, fun day for all!! Sydney was excited to go home, so she could go to bed because she was sooooo excited for the Easter bunny!!!

Let's go fly a kite...

We were all hanging out at the Family Club the day before Easter. The kids; Ashlee, Sydney, Dillon, Brenden, Hailey and Ethan all dyed eggs in preparation for Easter as we do every year. Nana had a great idea to buy kites for the kids when it got windy. Well, it sure was windy and cold that day, no doubt. We were hoping for good weather for the weekend, but the good lord had something else in mind, which was alright, no rain, so that is always bonus, especially this year! I can't wait for the sun! I am not sure who enjoyed flying kites more the kids or Papa(my Dad). Some kids wouldn't fly at all, they would spin in circles, other kites were flying high. Sydney had a little mishap with her kite, it detached from the string and flew up got stuck in a tree. Sydney was sad, it was her Barbie kite until Papa gave her a ladybug kite to use. She was thrilled. She loves ladybugs, probably because she has the nickname "bug" which she has had since she was in the hospital, born early and being a preemie. Auntie Kristy called her "bug" and it just stuck. Soon enough Nana, Darin and Uncle Ray were flying kites with the kids, it was a fun, windy, kite-flying, family day!

Happy 1st Birthday Ethan!

We celebrated Ethan's ("Handsome boy!" is his nick name) 1st birthday at Round Table Pizza on Main Street in P-Town. We ate, drank and enjoyed watching Ethan dig into his cake. We all helped Ethan celebrate the first year of his life. Man it flew by! The kids all had fun with the balloons, coloring and playing hide n' seek with each other. It was a fun, fun afternoon. Happy Birthday Ethan.
