Let's go fly a kite...

We were all hanging out at the Family Club the day before Easter. The kids; Ashlee, Sydney, Dillon, Brenden, Hailey and Ethan all dyed eggs in preparation for Easter as we do every year. Nana had a great idea to buy kites for the kids when it got windy. Well, it sure was windy and cold that day, no doubt. We were hoping for good weather for the weekend, but the good lord had something else in mind, which was alright, no rain, so that is always bonus, especially this year! I can't wait for the sun! I am not sure who enjoyed flying kites more the kids or Papa(my Dad). Some kids wouldn't fly at all, they would spin in circles, other kites were flying high. Sydney had a little mishap with her kite, it detached from the string and flew up got stuck in a tree. Sydney was sad, it was her Barbie kite until Papa gave her a ladybug kite to use. She was thrilled. She loves ladybugs, probably because she has the nickname "bug" which she has had since she was in the hospital, born early and being a preemie. Auntie Kristy called her "bug" and it just stuck. Soon enough Nana, Darin and Uncle Ray were flying kites with the kids, it was a fun, windy, kite-flying, family day!

Happy 1st Birthday Ethan!

We celebrated Ethan's ("Handsome boy!" is his nick name) 1st birthday at Round Table Pizza on Main Street in P-Town. We ate, drank and enjoyed watching Ethan dig into his cake. We all helped Ethan celebrate the first year of his life. Man it flew by! The kids all had fun with the balloons, coloring and playing hide n' seek with each other. It was a fun, fun afternoon. Happy Birthday Ethan.

Goodguys Car Show Spring Get Together

Sydney asked us every day this week if it we were going to the car show. I am not sure who is more excited, Sydney or Darin. Darin spent the night at his parents so he can rise early to get "the spot" with Jeffe and his Dad. The girls and I arrived at the car show on Saturday at about 9 am. It was going to be a beautiful day and the people were pouring in. I was shocked to see so many people so early. Sydney couldn't wait to get her ice cream, which she eventually did. Robyn and I took her at about 10 am, after her asking us about 20 times. On our way back from getting ice cream Sydney stopped to get her balloon animal from the clowns. She visits them every car show. She loves every minute of the show and so do we. Sydney just loves to pose with all the cars...too cute! Darin, the girls and I had to leave a bit early so we can make it to Ethan's 1st birthday party. Darin on the other hand did go back that afternoon and on Sunday.
Thanks for some of the pictures Robyn! :)

Happy Easter!!

So this year I was unsuccessful at getting out our Easter pictures. Time is just flying by way to fast. So this is the next best thing. I really didn't get great photos by any means anyways, now it is Hailey's turn to be impossible to photograph! Happy Easter to all!!

Ashlee's 6th Birthday

For Ashlee's 6th birthday, we were invited to go rollerskating for a GIRLS only rollerskating party. Sydney and I went out to the Golden Skate in San Ramon along with Kelli, Kalin and Nana. The girls swiftly put their skates on and go out in the roller rink, which was a lot harder than they expected. They still had fun. They skated for about 45 minutes then they rested with having a snack. Then it was time to have cake and watch Ashlee open her gifts. It was a lot of fun for all. Not to mention all the video games they played. Happy 6th Birthday Ashlee!

Dress up

The girls are both at a really fun age and are really starting to play together. They are really into dressing up, especially Hailey. They are truly girly-girls, no question about it. This was just a fun afternoon the girls were having playing dress up together.

Spring???

Darin , the girls and I were all outside in the back yard enjoying the sun. It was such a wonderful break from all the rain. Darin and I were doing yard work while Hailey and Sydney were playing with chalk and the pool toys. Sydney got "hot" so she decided to get her swim suit on. I told the girls it was way too cold in the pool to go swimming. After I had told them that, Hailey decided it was time to not only play in the water table but sit in it. Sydney decided it was fun to just pour water on her. You can't help but laugh! What can I say, my girls love the water!
